For whoever dies for the freedom of mankind is better than someone who remains alive waiting for death.

My comrade, you in the Mountain made glory, and history records it.

With your faith, you fought for the most precious, sacred, and deepest cause, even for survival.

With your steadfastness, you preserved our free Christian existence in this ocean.

With your resistance, you defy and stand strong in quality against quantity.

You are the stubborn resistance fighter; from Billa to Achrafieh, from Qnat to Zahle, from the overlook to Bhamdoun and Deir al-Qamar... you remain a symbol of free living.

You are the shield of our Christian people, the wall of its freedom, and the guarantee of its continuity. With your fall, it falls.

Our survival, therefore, depends on your faith and steadfastness.
