Description: Contemporary black pebbled leather, the covers richly textured and centered with an elegantly blind-embossed ornamental cross, the restrained decoration lending the volume a dignified ecclesiastical character. The spine features a textured, pebbled black leather spine divided into distinct compartments by horizontal golden bands. Intricate gold-leaf elements adorn these sections, including a centered floral emblem and elegant Arabic calligraphy that reads "الإنجيل الشريف الإلهي" (The Noble Divine Gospel). Several vibrant, multi-colored ribbon bookmarks in shades of red, yellow, and black extend from the top edge.
Condition: Good. The title page shows visible trimming at both the upper and lower edges, which has slightly cut into the decorative border and the very top of the Greek inscription. The paper also exhibits significant foxing and aging typical for mid-19th-century religious documents from this region. Internally clean.
