Description: Octavo volume in a handsome half-leather binding, with blue cloth-covered boards and a black leather spine, raised bands, and gilt decoration and lettering. A classic early or mid-20th-century library-style binding. Includes a folding map, which is present and complete.
Condition: Good. Bound in a later university-style half-leather binding, with black cloth-covered boards. The leather spine is rubbed and worn, with pronounced wear to the raised bands, joints, spine ends, and extremities, resulting in some loss to the gilt decoration and lettering. The cloth boards are lightly rubbed and marked, with some surface wear. Underlining in pen and pencil on the first few pages, but the rest of the text is clean and unmarked. The first few pages exhibit curling and slight waviness from historical moisture exposure Binding remains sound.
