  • Note: Badia Masabni was a prominent singer, actress, and businesswoman who revolutionized oriental dance by modernizing its choreography and costumes for the stage. In the 1920s, she opened her famous cabaret, "Casino Opera" (also known as Badia’s Casino), in Cairo, which became a cultural hub and launched the careers of stars like Samia Gamal and Taheyya Kariokka. Beyond dance, she was a celebrated theater actress and appeared in several early Egyptian films. She was married to the legendary Egyptian comedian and playwright Naguib el-Rihani, though they famously separated in 1926, the same year this magazine was published.
