Description: Contemporary black cloth. A well-preserved binding. The book spine is divided by five vertical gold lines that create distinct sections. Each section features a small, centered gold leaf, alongside gold Arabic lettering stamped between the bands.
Condition: Good. The title page shows visible trimming at the upper edge, which has slightly cut into the decorative border. Toning to the flyleafs. Internally clean.
Note: The book containing its own set of canons and hymns along with its usual appendices, was collated against its original Greek with its most recent and accurate editions, namely the Venice edition of 1897 and the Athens edition of 1899. It was then revised and corrected in meaning and wording by Wahbat Allah Saruf, and subsequently printed by order of the Most Holy Patriarch of Jerusalem, Kirbus Kirbus and Mianus I, in Jerusalem, and in the Holy Sepulchre edition specific to the flourishing Greek Orthodox monastery in 1908.
المعزي أو الأكطويخس الكبير، وهو يحوي ما يختص به من القوانين الترتيلية والترانيم مع ملحقاته الاعتيادية، فقد قوبل على أصله اليوناني على أحدث وأصح طبعاته وهما طبعة فينيسيا سنة 1897 وطبعة أثنيا سنة 1899 وصحح منقحاً معنىً وعبارةً بقلم وهبة الله صروف، ثم طبع بأمر البطريرك الأورشليمي الأقدس كيربوس كيربوس وميانوس الأول في أورشليم وطبعة القبر المقدس المختصة بدير الروم العامر سنة 1908.
