Description: An early Egyptian edition of Kitāb al-Nubuwwāt (كتاب النبوات) by the eminent Hanbali scholar Taqī al-Dīn Aḥmad ibn Taymiyyah (1263–1328 CE; d. 728 AH). The work is devoted to the subject of prophethood, presenting Ibn Taymiyyah's arguments in defense of the authenticity of the prophets and their miracles while addressing questions relating to revelation, faith, and theological doctrine. This edition was edited, annotated, and corrected by Idārat al-Ṭibāʿah al-Munīriyyah, first published in 1346 AH, and printed in Cairo by the renowned al-Maṭbaʿah al-Munīriyyah. Bound in the publisher's original red cloth, the volume is printed in clear Arabic type on quality wove paper and concludes with a detailed table of contents.
Condition: Good. Red cloth binding with moderate shelf wear and scattered worming, concentrated along the spine and boards, with corresponding penetration into the text block. The hinges have been repaired, and the front pastedown has been replaced with a modern plain endpaper, indicating the original pastedown is no longer present. The original boards have been retained. Some loss to the inner margin of the front endpaper and adjacent leaves from earlier damage and repair. Pages are complete, age-toned as expected, and remain generally clean and legible.
